OCRIRadio.com: Podcasting and Blogging Ottawa's Tech Energy to the World OCRI Leads the Way with New Social Media Channel for Tech Business Community

Ottawa, November 23rd, 2005 - The Ottawa Centre for Research and Innovation (OCRI) in partnership with market2world communications inc. is pleased to unveil OCRIRadio.com, a new social media channel set to utilize the latest in podcasting, blogging and other technologies enabling user-generated content that can be easily added to, archived and searched.

Along with regularly updated blogs by OCRI members and executives, the centerpiece of OCRIRadio.com is a monthly podcast show, an online radio show that can be subscribed to/automatically downloaded for listening at the time of the user's choosing. The OCRIRadio.com podcast includes interviews with members of both the global and Ottawa technology communities.

ORCIRadio.com's host is Jeffrey Dale, President of OCRI. The show's co-host is market2world's President Nathan Rudyk, who also has journalism credentials as a past Internet columnist for CBC Radio Ottawa, commentator on CJOH TV's Tech Now program, author of "Free Stuff for the Internet: Canadian Edition" and editorial contributions to the Globe and Mail, Profit Magazine and Computing Canada. Guests on OCRIRadio.com's podcast premiere include John Kelly, Chairman of NexInnovations and Co-Chair of the 2014 Ottawa Commonwealth Games Bid Committee and Andrew Waitman, Managing Partner, Celtic House Venture Partners.

Over the past couple of years, Really Simple Syndication (RSS) information feeds, blogs and podcasts have evolved from highly personal forms of communication on the Internet to a powerful new "Web 2.0" medium for business. Not since Procter & Gamble invented branding back in 1931 has there been so much excitement about a fresh model for doing business.
